My name is Larry Oldham. I have been practicing law since 1991 and have discused legal issues with thousands of clients and lay persons over the years. Attorneys are trained to think differently than typical citizens and, as such, we have a unique ability to help our clients navigate through a world that can be very confusing to those without legal training.

Our job as attorneys is to simplify things as much as possible when explaining legal concepts and issues and I have done my best to do that for my own clients, family members, opposing parties and members of the general public throughout my entire legal career. I have been the Treasurer on the Forsyth County Law Library Board of Trustees since 2000 and as part of my service to the Board and our community, I authored a pamphlet entitled Introduction to the Legal System for Non-Lawyers which I encourage you to read and share with others.

Attorneys are Officers of the Court and take an oath to be forthright in dealings with the Court and others and while we have a duty to be zealous advocates for our clients regarding the positions they desire to advance, we have an obligation to do so within the paramaters of the law. My purpose in providing the information on this website is to educate anyone who wants to learn about the relevant facts, issues and applicable law in hopes that they will have a better understanding of the matters being addressed on this website.
