RISE UP FRIENDS AND NEIGHBORS

One thing I love about people in this country is their willingness to stand up for what they believe in and to correct injustices they in the world, although sometimes it takes a little prompting to get them to do the right thing.  What kind of neighborhood allows six presumably well-intentioned people to move forward with litigation of this sort under these circumstances?  Certainly not one that me and my family want to call home, and I cannot for the life of me believe that the good people of this community are going to continue to stand for this outrage.  Nevertheless, we have invested too much in our dream home to walk away from it, and we are here for the duration, win, lose or draw.

While I have not yet come to any of your homes, the problem I see in the discussions I have had with some of you thus far about this is the general apathy that exists, much like the apathy I felt when I learned of the Creech litigation.  I had more important things to worry about at the time than some silly HOA dispute, was not around when it started, and never got involved, and believe me, it does not hit home with you nearly as hard as it does until you find yourself in a "violators" shoes.  From what I understood about the Creech matter, that family very well may have brought some of that on themselves, although I still find it unfortunate that both they and HOA could not find a way to resolve the matter without spending huge amounts of money.  I guess you can say in a way that I have brought some of this on myself and my family, but I hope you will feel differently once you take the time to apprise yourself of all the facts and circumstances surrounding this dispute.

As I warned the HOA Board when this nonsense started, a move I intend to make is to attempt to call a special meeting and have every one of current Board members removed and have the current legal and management representatives' services also terminated as soon as possible based upon the existing contracts with them.  If I am successful and the newly elected Board deems it prudent to continue this litigation against me, I will still fight with all I have but will at least feel that the decision to continue has been made after due and careful consideration of all the facts, circumstances and costs involved.  I will be coming to see you in the next several days and weeks, and I hope you will listen to what I have to say.  I apologize in advance for troubling you with this, but I do not know what else to do.
