If you drive by our lot you will
notice that on
December 13. 2005, we installeda temporary catfish mailbox that I bought as a
joke back when I received an anonymous letter from one of the neighbors (see
the July 10 Anonymous Letter). Based on
the
November 25 response I received from the HOA Board to myNovember 14 inquiryabout the neighborhood standard for mailboxes, I thought it fitting to install the catfish until
the issue regarding the mailbox is resolved.
My thanks to the HOA's counsel for attaching a picture of the catfish as Exhibit 1 to
Plaintiff's
Brief in Support of its Motion for
Injunction that I received on January 11, 2006, since we never got a picture
of it ourselves. It was wearing reindeer antlers over the Christmas
holiday and it looked even better wearing the Santa Claus hat. We know
the catfish will be going one of these days, and we will miss him. The neighbors
who have commented to us about him say they
understand the joke. Unfortunately, the HOA Board members do not have
a sense of humor.
